GradeImp privacy policy
1. Who we are
GradeImp is a free Chrome extension for importing grades into Google Classroom, created and maintained by Ramon Batlle Pujals. It is not an official Google tool.
2. What data it handles
- The names and grades of the students shown in the open Classroom assignment.
- The data the user pastes or types into the extension’s table.
3. What it is used for
Only to match each grade to its student and to enter, clear or copy grades, whenever the user asks.
4. Where the data goes
Data is processed in the user’s browser. GradeImp does not send it to any server, does not sell it or share it with third parties, and does not use analytics or advertising. Under no circumstances do I have access to this data.
Imported grades are saved in Google Classroom, so Google’s policy and that of the user’s organisation apply to them. If the copy button is used, the data goes to the computer’s clipboard.
5. Data retention
GradeImp does not store the data. The table is emptied when the page is reloaded or the assignment is changed.
6. Permissions
The extension only runs on classroom.google.com, where it reads the page and enters the grades.
7. Contact
If you have any questions, you can write to me using this contact form.
8. Changes
This privacy policy may change at any time. It was last updated on 6 November 2026.
